What is the difference between TP-Link Archer A6 and C6?
Before starting my TP-Link Archer A6 V3 review, i want to clear a doubt between the TP-LINK Archer A6 V3 AC1200 VS TP-LINK Archer C6 V3.2 AC1200. “Both are the same wireless router, with exact same hardware. But TP-Link uses different names only for ‘Offline’ and Online marketing. So you can buy any of them.

The TP-Link Archer A6 V3 AC1200 is a budget-friendly entry-level Dual-band Gigabit router that offers some features usually found on more expensive models. Also, the performance of this router is actually impressive according to the price.
The TP-Link Archer A6 V3 AC1200 or TP-Link AC1200 is an entry-level budget-friendly dual-band gigabit router that is specially designed for those people who are on a tight budget but they want a decent future-proof router, which can handle speed up to 1000Mbps and provides good coverage.
In Indian Market, there are have many expensive wireless routers which offer many features but those are a bit expensive, but under Rs. 2500, it provides many features, such as support for MU-MIMO data streaming and four Gigabit LAN and WAN ports which supports 1000-Mbps data transfer speed. Also, you can find out built-in malware protection service and advanced Security with WPA3 which are very nice features. Now let’s talk about its design and features.
TP-Link Archer A6 V3 AC1200 Design
TP-Link Archer A6 V3 AC1200 uses a textured body that is not glossy, and it didn’t scratch easily. This router is 100% similar compared to its bigger version The TP-Link Archer C80. The body measures 8.5 × 4.6 × 1.2 in Dimensions (W×D×H) and has four non-removable Omnidirectional antennas.
On the front, tp-link archer a6 lights come with five LED indicators that indicate Power, Wi-Fi 2.4GHz, Wi-Fi 5GHz, LAN, and the Internet. The rear panel holds Power Button, a power jack, Gigabit WAN port, four Gigabit LAN ports, WPS/Wifi on-off and reset.
TP-Link Archer A6 V3 AC1200 FEATURES
TP-Link Archer A6 V3 AC1200 router is powered by Mediatek MT7621A/N Dual-core Network Processor. The MediaTek MT7621A Wi-Fi SoC contains a powerful 880 MHz MIPS® 1004KEc™ dual-core CPU which is very good at this price segment. It can reach maximum data rates of up to 300Mbps on the 2.4GHz band and up to 867Mbps on the 5GHz band.
This router uses 802.11ac Wave 2 technology and supports MU-MIMO (simultaneous data streaming) and beamforming (direct-to-client signal transmissions) and Air time Fairness. You can use the TP-Link Tether mobile app to access basic wireless and security settings, enable or disable parental controls, run basic diagnostics, and configure guest networking. But you’ll have to use the web portal to access its full advanced settings.
The web portal opens to a network map that displays the number of wired and wireless clients and your internet status. Up top are Quick Setup, Basic, and Advanced tabs, and on the left is a settings menu. The Basic menu includes Internet, Wireless, Parental Controls, Guest Network, and TP-Link Cloud settings.
Parental Controls lets you create profiles for family members where you can block access to certain sites using keywords, set internet time limits, and view all visited sites. The TP-Link Cloud helps you manage your network and client devices from anywhere via the internet.

Guest networking helps you create a separate network with separate SSIDs and passwords for guests. You can use this router as a Wireless router or as an Access point. You can’t use it as a Wireless Range extender/Repeater.
This router also has TP-Link One Mesh technology, where you can use another Access point/Wireless router/Repeater which also supports One Mesh technology, to get a whole home mesh wifi technology. See One Mesh Compatible Devices here.
I can easily suggest this router to anyone who wants to buy a Wireless Router or wanted to upgrade his/her wireless router to a Gigabit wireless router under Rs. 2000 to Rs. 3000. In this price range, some other companies also provide Gigabit wireless routers like Tenda AC10, Dlink DIR 825 which is giving Internet speed similar.
But this router has the best build quality, Air vents on the side, top, and also in the bottom with an Internal Cooling system, Wireless transmit power in both 2.4 and 5Ghz, and is easy to setup. But still, this router has some cons also. It takes 75 seconds to completely boot up whether other router takes around 40-45 seconds to boot up. And it doesn’t have any USB port built-in.
