How to Update Windows 11 Without Waiting

Windows 11 is now available and will be rolling out for every Windows 11 compatible system and you can update Windows 11 right from your system. If your PC or Laptop supports the minimum requirements for Windows 11 then your device will get the update soon.

If your system is compatible with Windows 11, you can opt for an OTA update. However, this update doesn’t happen instantaneously, and many Windows users may find themselves waiting for the official upgrade notification to arrive. Fortunately, there’s a way to do the process with minimal effort, allowing you to download and install the new Windows 11 version immediately. To do so, follow these steps.

Windows 11 Minimum System Requirements

Processor1 gigahertz (GHz) or faster with 2 or more cores on a compatible 64-bit processor or System on a Chip (SoC).
RAM4 Gigabyte (GB).

System firmwareUEFI, Secure Boot capable. Check here for information on how your PC might be able to meet this requirement.

Update Windows 11 Via OTA Update

When the update becomes available for your system, you will get notified or you can check that also. Then you can access the respective settings to initiate it. Ensure that you have a stable internet connection in order to proceed with the update. Here are the steps to update Windows 11 via OTA update:

  • Go to the “Settings” icon.
  • Scroll down and click on “Windows Update.”
  • If an update is available, click “Download and Install” or “Check for Updates.”

Update Windows 11 using Installation Assistant

To Update Windows 11 using the Windows 11 Installation Assistant is another convenient option. Here are the steps on how you can do it:

  • Download the Windows 11 Installation Assistant by clicking ‘Download Now’.
  • Alternatively, you can visit this link to download the Windows 11 Installation Assistant tool directly.

It is as simple as you think. Make sure you have a stable internet connection.

Before you begin updating Windows 11, make sure you have these:

1. You have a Windows 10 license.
2. Your PC must have Windows 10, version 2004 or higher installed to run Installation Assistant.
