The 14-inch MacBook Pro starts from Rs 1,94,900 for an 8-core CPU, 14-core GPU, 16GB Unified Memory, and 512GB SSD storage. Schools and students can get it cheaper, starting at Rs 1,75,410.

14-inch Apple Macbook Pro 2021 Availability
The new MacBook Pro 2021 models will be available for orders starting Monday through the Apple India Online Store and will go on sale from Tuesday, October 26. Customers will also have configured-to-order options available through the Apple site.

This year every MacBook Pro models bring new design, specs, and features. The new Apple silicon powering the MacBook Pro (2021) series is claimed to deliver up to 3.7 times faster performance over Intel’s Core 13-inch MacBook Pro (Intel i7). Now let’s check everything about this Macbook.
DESIGN
The New 16-inch Macbook Pro is now completely re-designed. The new design for the 16-inch model is now 16.8mm thin, and weight 2.13 kg. Whereas the 14-inch Macbook Pro is now 15.5mm thin and weight 1.5 kg. These Macbooks come in an Aluminium enclosure.
Coming to the front, the new Macbook Pro side bezel is now 3.5mm thin which is 24% thinner the last year’s Macbook Pro. The top is also 3.5mm thin thanks to the additional notch that is to help reduce bezels and provide more screen real estate to users.
Inside the notch, the new Macbook Pro models now bring a 1080p FaceTime webcam. But there is no face-id support. Also, both Macbook Pro models now come with many ports and MagSafe charging technology.
CONNECTIVITY
Apple has finally added many ports to the new Macbook Pro models. On both models, on the right side, you will get an HDMI port, a Thunderbolt 4 port, and an SD card slot. Sadly, the HDMI port is not an HDMI 2.1 port, which means it can only support up to 4K at 60fps.
On the left side, has a 3.5mm headphone jack that supports high-impedance headphones, 2 more Thunderbolt 4 ports, and MagSafe 3 charging port. The MagSafe 3 now can deliver more power, and also you can charge these Macbooks Pro models via the Thunderbolt 4 port.
Coming to the Display supports, you can connect up to 2 Pro Display XDR with the M1 Pro Macbook Pro. And with the M1 Max, you can connect 4 displays (As per Apple, 3x Pro Display XDR and a 4K TV at 60fps).
CHIPSET AND MEMORY
The New Macbook Pro 2021 comes with redesigned Apple Silicon, the M1 Pro, and M1 Max.
You can choose between the M1 Pro and M1 Max chips on both the 14-inch and 16-inch variants. You get 16GB of RAM on the base variant and it goes up to 32GB on the M1 Pro and 64GB on the M1 Max. Storage starts at 512GB SSD on the base variant and goes up to 8TB SSD. The SSD speed goes up to 7.4GB/s.
Apple claims that these MacBook Pro models give you 70% faster CPU performance and 2X faster GPU performance compared to last year’s M1 Macbook Pro. Also, these Macbook Pro models give you performance like RTX 3080 Mobile GPU with 70% less power.
These Macbooks now Also support ProRes. These chips now come with up to 2 ProRes accelerators. Apple claims that using its new M1 Max chip, pros can edit up to 30 streams of 4K ProRes video or up to seven streams of 8K ProRes video in Final Cut Pro – more streams than on a 28-core Mac Pro with Afterburner.
Both M1 Pro and M1 Max are also paired with a 16-core Neural Engine that helps enhance machine learning capabilities on the new MacBook Pro models. As per some numbers shared publicly, the built-in Neural Engine can deliver up to 8.7 times faster object tracking performance in Final Cut Pro with M1 Pro and up to 11.5 times faster with M1 Max. There is also up to 2.6 times faster performance when selecting subjects in images in Adobe Photoshop.
DISPLAY
The new 16-inch and 14-inch come with a Pro-level display. The new Macbook Pro 2021 models come with a notch design display. for that, the display is now actually bigger. For the 16-inch model, you will actually get a 16.2-inch display, and with the 14-inch model, you will now get a 14.2-inch display.
Apple claims that while the 14-inch MacBook Pro model gives a 14.2-inch active area with a total of 5.9 million pixels (3024×1964 pixels), the 16-inch variant has a 16.2-inch area with 7.7 million pixels (3456×2234 pixels). And, now this display is a Liquid Retina XDR display with Mini LED technology. Now users can edit and preview content in HDR.
With the help of Mini LED technology, this display now can support 1000nits of sustained brightness and 1600nits peak brightness. Apart from that, these displays are now carried ProMotion technology with a 120Hz refresh rate.
Thanks to ProMotion, the display can automatically adapt from 24Hz to 120Hz according to content. However, users can still choose a standard refresh rate if they want. Also, this display now supports 1 billion colours.
MIC AND SPEAKER
These Macbook Pro models have three studio-quality mics for better mic quality with up to 60% less noise. The 2021 MacBook Pro has a six-speaker sound system with two tweeters and four force-canceling woofers. It also supports Spatial audio with Dolby Atmos for surrounding 3D audio. These woofers can provide 80% more bass.
KEYBOARD
The MacBook Pro 2021 models also come with a Magic Keyboard that replaces the earlier Touch Bar with physical function keys and a wider escape key. You will also get the Force Touch trackpad also.
COOLING
Despite such high performance, these Macbook Pro models still stay cooler. With the help of an advanced cooling system with dual fan and air vents, it can now move 50% more air at a lower fan speed. Which helps you to make these chips cooler.
But as per Apple, because of the efficiency of Apple Silicon Chips, the fan never even have to turn on for most of the task you do every day.
BATTERY
The 14-inch MacBook Pro 2021 is rated for 17 hours of video playback. The 16-inch model can last for up to 21 hours on a single charge. Both models feature MagSafe 3 magnetic charging. Fast charging is also supported. Apple says you can charge the 2021 MacBook Pro up to 50 percent in just 30 minutes.
