Last year, the iPhone 12 was the most popular iPhone among the iPhone family because of its design, price, and performance. On September 14, 2021, Apple has launched the new lineup of the iPhone 13 series. Like last year, this year too we have seen four phones on this lineup, iPhone 13 Mini, iPhone 13, iPhone 13 Pro and, iPhone 13 Pro Max with different designs and hardware.

Along with the iPhone Apple has released Apple Watch Series 7, New iPad, and IOS 15. The new iPhone lineup is powered by the new Apple A15 Bionic chipset, which supports 5G, I’ll talk about it later in this article. iPhone 13 Price and Availability

This device comes with three storage variants and, it has been priced starting at $799 in the US and in India, the price is starting at Rs. 79900. You can find the price details for all the storage variants:

The sizing of this iPhone is remaining identical compared to last year’s iPhone 12. But if we talk about the front, this year’s iPhone series getting a small notch. Which is getting 20% small because of the earpiece, which is now part of the top bezel. And on the back, the camera module is getting a slight change.

The iPhone 13 has a diagonal camera arrangement from the vertical one that we had before. The thickness of the device is 7.4 mm and weighs 135 grams. Apart from that, the frame still remains from the last year, with the power button on the right side and volume keys and DND mechanism on the left. at the bottom, we get a speaker grill, microphone, and Lightning port.

This year on the 13 model Apple used Ceramic Shield glass and has an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance as well. This year iPhone 13 comes with five different colour options. Pink, Blue, Midnight, Star White, and Red.

This year this device comes the same size display. It features a 6.1-inch Super Retina XDR True-tone Display with a 60Hz refresh rate Apple’s custom OLED panel. This display supports a resolution of 1170 x 2532 pixels, also supports HDR10 and Dolby Vision, and HLG. If we talk about the brightness level it supports 800 nits (typ), 1200 nits (peak) brightness. This year this device supports Always-On-Display.

The front panel is covered with Ceramic Shield, a glass + ceramic protective layer that’s been developed in partnership with Corning. This year Apple features a 20% narrower notch at the top, housing the Face ID tech and a 12MP selfie camera, on the front.

iPhone 13 Processor and Memory

This device comes with Apple’s latest and most powerful Apple A15 Bionic Chipset. This processor is based on 5nm architecture. This is a six-core chipset, comes with 4 core graphics and an upgraded Nural Engine. This chipset supports Wi-Fi 6e and Gigabit LTE with mmWave and sub-6GHz networks.

Apart from that This device comes with 6GB of RAM and comes in three storage variants- 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB. Apple does not share the amount of RAM present aboard its phones, so wait for teardown videos to confirm about it.

The 13 and 13 Mini include a square dual-camera setup on the rear, whereas the Pro variants include an upgraded quad-camera array inside the square cutout. This year Apple uses a diagonal camera arrangement setup on the back. This camera support many features, such as Astronomy Photography, better Night Mode Time Lapse, Night Mode Selfies, Cinematic mode video recording with advanced focus technology, HDR video recording, and a lot more.

This device has the same camera setup which iPhone 13 Mini also has. It comes with a dual-camera setup with a 12MP (f/1.6) Wide primary camera and a 12MP (f/2.4) ultra-wide lens with a 120-degree FOV. It supports sensor-shift OIS, Smart HDR, 4K @60FPS video recording, and 5x digital zoom. On the front, it comes with a 12MP front camera for selfies.

It now Cinematic mode video recording with advanced focus technology, Which works with Apple’s special custom made chip with A15 Chip for the cinematic mode. Where this device captures Dolby vision HDR video directly.

The company hasn’t revealed the battery sizes, so you will have to wait for teardown videos to learn about it. But Apple claims you will get 1.2hour better battery life than the last iPhone 13, where the last iPhone 13 has a 2815mAh battery. Also, this device comes with the MagSafe wireless charging technology which supports 15W charging speed and wired 20W charging speed.

Talking about other features this device comes with the latest iOS 15. It also has advanced privacy features that come with iOS 15. Apart from that, this device supports all the MagSafe accessories such as cases, covers, and other accessories that snap to the back of the iPhone 12 magnetically. Also, this device supports Apple Pay (Visa, MasterCard, AMEX certified). And supports all the basics sensors such as accelerometer, gyro, proximity, compass, and barometer, and Taptic Engine hardware for haptics.
